Thank you, Phil Donahue!

Today is National Talk Show Host Day. When I was a young stay-at-home, no-car mom, the man-in-the-middle here kept me engaged and grounded as an adult when no others were around. My sister (far right) and I were thrilled to meet him when he came to Minneapolis, circa 1978. 

Thanks for your show, Phil. It was smart and riveting TV that kept me sane and helped raise my consciousness on many issues. I wish other talk shows would have replicated yours.
